The full crawl stroke is created by combining everything we’ve learned so far.
Check the basics:
2. If everything feels right, you can now add side breathing. Just push off the wall and swim 10–20 meters while breathing rhythmically. If breathing doesn’t quite work yet, no worries – just go back to practicing it with a kickboard. If it all clicks, congratulations – you’re swimming crawl.
From now on, keep revisiting the technique drills. Even if you’re already swimming hundreds of meters comfortably, you’ll find that technique drills will keep improving your crawl faster than endless laps back and forth.
Even professional swimmers spend half of their training doing technical drills. Don’t rush. The slower you swim (and I mean truly slow, not flailing your arms and legs like crazy), the more effective it is – and the more you’ll improve.
Do each drill slowly and mindfully – that makes it harder, and much more powerful.
When you want to start building endurance, go ahead and swim the full crawl stroke faster. But keep the drills slow and controlled. Once you can swim crawl with ease, feel free to create your own training plan – or get inspired by the workouts on our blog at www.3fit.cz.
And most importantly – from now on, you can swim.
It’s like riding a bike – you never forget. You’ll be able to swim next year, ten years from now, even in your nineties. You’ve gained something that will keep improving your life – and I’m incredibly grateful that I could help you get there.
Thank you so much for completing the course and watching all the way to the end. I’m keeping all my fingers crossed that your swim training goes smoothly, brings you joy, and makes you feel good.
If anything’s unclear, confusing, or simply made you happy – I’d love to hear from you. I’m here for you.
And if you’re still hungry for more – in the final bonus chapter, you’ll find several master-level drills for perfecting your underwater catch. These will make you even faster and more efficient in the water. They’re the drills that move you into the advanced swimmer category. Go for it. You’ve got this.
It’s prepared for every level with printable images.
I recommend choosing color printing (the image gets lost in black and white), placing it in a sheet protector, and taking it directly to the pool.
