6.5. Crawl with a snorkel

Freestyle with a snorkel (without a pull buoy) might feel easier at first than with the buoy — but watch your legs! If they tend to kick too fast, this is the moment to consciously control them. With a snorkel, you don’t need to think about breathing, so focus fully on your stroke rhythm and slow kick. Start with a dynamic hand exchange, extending the arms underwater, and add one strong kick per stroke, just like we practiced in the kicking section. Until you tame your legs, freestyle will remain a struggle.

It’s ready for each level and comes with illustrations to print.
I recommend printing it in color (images may be lost in black & white), placing it in a clear folder or plastic sleeve – and taking it straight to the pool.
