What do you think – how should we breathe correctly? Through the nose or mouth? And what about exhaling underwater? Through the nose or the mouth?
Inhale is always through the mouth. Only and exclusively through the mouth. And exhale is both through the nose and mouth. It may seem like it’s not possible, but it is. During exhale, you must actively push air out from the lungs, and while it doesn’t matter which path it exits, you must release all of it. Usually, the nose alone is not enough, so you exhale through the nose and the mouth at the same time.
The inhale is quick and large in volume. Then we hold the breath for a moment and follow with a strong exhale, where we must engage our expiratory muscles and exhale through the nose and mouth simultaneously.
Let’s try it together now 10× in crawl rhythm.
It’s ready for each level and comes with illustrations to print.
I recommend printing it in color (images may be lost in black & white), placing it in a clear folder or plastic sleeve – and taking it straight to the pool.
